They are generally produced by lamination of glue to membrane-shaped siliconized paper. They have no carriers. There are versions reinforced with mesh fabric to increase elongation and tensile strength. They are mostly used in applications such as sponge lamination. They are used for joining and laminating porous materials such as sponge, felt and fabric. Special sizes can be cut.
